TotalEnergies renews its partnership and will sponsor the 2023 Itzulia stage winner’s prize

The multi-energy company reaffirms its commitment to sport and the values inherent to a healthy lifestyle.

TotalEnergies will once again be the official sponsor of Itzulia, the 62nd edition of which is set to take place from 3 to 8 April 2023. The electricity and gas supplier will award a trophy to the winner of each day’s stage.

“Our participation here is another sign that we are making progress in our aim to promote a healthy lifestyle”, stated Javier Sáenz de Jubera, president of TotalEnergies Electricidad y Gas, who stressed the importance of sponsorship for the company, “because it enables us to help promote the sport, and be close to more and more people to whom we can provide our affordable, clean and local energy”.

“We are proud that major international brands continue to support Itzulia as a global showcase. We are very happy that the sponsorship of Clásica San Sebastián is set to continue for Itzulia”, explained Julián Eraso president of OCETA. “The presence of TotalEnergies in cycling grows by the day and we are happy they wish to associate their brand with ours,” he added.

During the presentation, Sáenz de Jubera also stressed that the Basque Country is a strategic area for TotalEnergies, with “more than 750,000 people already enjoying our electricity, gas and/or services. In addition to the fact that we have an office and four customer service centers in the Basque Country: in Vitoria, Bilbao, Donosti and Barakaldo”.

TotalEnergies has a wide range of sponsorships agreements throughout Spain, covering both cycling and running, and even has its own cycling team, Team TotalEnergies, which will be competing in this year’s Itzulia and Vuelta a España. The Clásica de San Sebastián, Vuelta a Asturias and Marcha Cicloturista Ibercaja Quebrantahuesos by TotalEnergies are some of the cycling events in which they are participating.
