Access from Uharte Arakil will be closed to non-accredited vehicles on the section between Pamplona and the Mendukilo Caves.
The organisers of the Itzulia have announced that traffic restrictions will be in place on the climb to San Miguel de Aralar during Stage 2 of the race, which starts in Pamplona and finishes at the Mendukilo Caves.
More specifically, the climb from Uharte Arakil will be closed to all non-accredited vehicles while the stage is in progress. This measure has been adopted for safety reasons due to the limited space on the road, with the aim of ensuring that the race runs smoothly and to guarantee the safety of the riders, organisers and spectators.
This restriction has been imposed by the Government of Navarre, through its Department of Forestry Management, in coordination with the race organisers.
The organisers are asking for the cooperation of everyone who wants to watch the race at this point along the route, and requesting that they comply with all signs and follow the instructions of the security staff. The aim is to make the race run smoothly and ensure that the stage takes place in the best possible conditions for all participants.
We also appeal to the public to behave in a manner that fully respects the environment and livestock in the area during the event, thereby preventing the potential scattering of litter and its ingestion by both domestic animals grazing in the fields and wild animals in the area.
