The organisation values the shared journey and has initiated the process of introducing a new sponsor for the yellow jersey, associated with a historic event of international significance.
The Basque Country Cycling Organisation (OCETA), organiser of the Itzulia Basque Country race, has announced that Banco Sabadell will not be renewing its long-standing sponsorship of the event when the current contractual period expires.
OCETA would like to express its sincere gratitude to Banco Sabadell for the 14 years of support in the development and consolidation of the Itzulia Basque Country. During this period, the race has strengthened its sporting standing and international profile, with the sponsor’s support playing a key role in this journey.
This decision ushers in a new chapter for the Itzulia Basque Country. The organisation will now initiate a process to bring a new sponsor on board for the yellow jersey, linking its name to the Itzulia, a race with a rich history, a distinct identity, and a media and social impact that extends beyond the local sphere.
In this new context, the organisation is already working on defining the next steps of the project, with the aim of further strengthening the Itzulia Basque Country and its ties to the business community. The race offers a range of sponsorship opportunities, allowing partners to support its growth and become part of an event with wide media coverage, international reach, and a direct connection to the region in which it takes place.
The organisation is managing this process in line with the practices followed in recent years, with a focus on delivering a reliable and competitive event that meets the expectations of teams, institutions, the media, and fans. OCETA will continue to provide updates on progress in this new phase as developments arise.
