Itzulia announces 2023 race stages

The start and finish locations for the 62nd edition of the Itzulia have been announced. The race will be held from 3 to 8 April 2023, coinciding with Easter. The peloton will set off from Vitoria-Gasteiz and finish in Éibar.

OCETA, the race organisers, have officially announced via press release the towns and cities that will host the start and finish of the 62nd edition of the Itzulia Basque Country. The cyclists will set off from Vitoria-Gasteiz and finish 6 days later in Eibar.

Vitoria-Gasteiz will once again be the starting point for one of the stages of the race, although this year it takes on a more prominent role as the starting city. From there, the cyclists will set off for Labastida to finish the first stage. The second stage will run from Viana to Leitza; a stage entirely in Navarre territory, repeating the 2022 locations, but in reverse order. The third stage will start and finish in Gipuzkoa with Errenteria as the starting point and Villabona as the finish.

We have now reached the halfway point of the race and move on to Bizkaia for the next two stages. The fourth day will begin and end in Santurtzi. The fifth will start and finish in the town of Amorebieta. The last stage, as has been the tradition in recent years, will take place in the Éibar area, starting and finishing in the town of Éibar.

Full details of the stages will be announced at a press conference at the beginning of the year.

The winner of the 2023 Itzulia will be revealed on 8 April 2023 in Eibar. Can Daniel Felipe Martínez repeat his 2022 win? A new and exciting edition of the Itzulia awaits, from 3 to 8 April 2023.
