TotalEnergies to sponsor the Itzulia 2022 stage award winner

  • TotalEnergies will present trophies to the individual stage winners at the Itzulia 2022, to be held from 4 to 9 April.
  • The multi-energy company reaffirms its commitment to sport and the values inherent to a healthy lifestyle.

TotalEnergies will participate in the 61st edition of the Itzulia as the main sponsor. The gas and electricity supplier will award a trophy to the winner of each day’s stage.

In the words of the president of TotalEnergies Electricidad y Gas, Javier Sáenz de Jubera, with this collaboration “we reaffirm our commitment to bicycle tourism and sport in general, which form part of our values and our commitment to promoting the values inherent to a healthy lifestyle”.

“The Itzulia is once again of interest to major international brands as a showcase to the world. We are very happy that the sponsorship of the Clásica San Sebastián is set to continue for the Itzulia”, stated Julián Eraso, president of OCETA. “The presence of TotalEnergies in cycling grows by the day and we are happy they wish to associate their brand with ours,” he added.

The cycling event also constitutes a means of reaching people better – always a priority for TotalEnergies Electricidad y Gas – which focuses its efforts on advancing the energy transition by providing clean and cheap energy, close to home.

Lastly, its UCI ProTeam category TotalEnergies cycling team is set to participate in the main races, further underlying the company’s commitment to all lovers of the sport.
