This year Itzulia is set to include the participation of 24 teams.
The organisers of Itzulia Basque Country have already sent out invitations to UCI ProTeams. This edition has been extraordinarily complex in terms of choosing which teams to invite. Competition and new additions have made the choice a tough one.
The 19 UCI World Tour teams will be joined by 5 UCI ProTeams: Total Direct Energie, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, Burgos-BH, Euskaltel-Euskadi and Equipo Kern Pharma.
“The UCI ProTeams are getting better and better and we believe they should be supported and invited to races such as Itzulia. We are sure that all of the teams will be competitive and put on a good show,” remarked Julian Eraso.
