Stage 2

Pamplona-Iruña – Lodosa

The longest stage this year, at almost 200 km. The entire stage traverses Navarre, from Iruña to Lodosa. The stage will include constant climbs and descents, but just one Category 3 pass. Barring a surprise breakaway, the stage could be decided by a sprint.

Pamplona

Founded over two thousand years ago by the Roman consul Pompey on a Basque village, Pamplona was established as the capital of the Kingdom of Navarre. A walk through its streets allows you to feel a history that goes beyond the Sanfermines, discovering a heritage legacy of the first order in which its Renaissance walls, declared a National Monument and a Site of Cultural Interest, stand out especially. Its extensive historical and heritage legacy, material and immaterial, flows organically with its spaces full of life, a wide cultural and avant-garde offer. Due to its welcoming people, its green surroundings and deep-rooted traditions, Pamplona always manages to move those who visit it.
