Itzulia 2022 second finish presented in Viana

Bodegas Ondarre hosted the presentation and the signing of the finish line for the second stage.

Today, 8 March, the arrival of the second stage between Leitza and Viana was presented at Bodegas Ondarre in Viana. The event was attended by Yolanda González, mayoress of Viana, Julián Eraso, president of OCETA and representatives of Bodega Ondarre and Family Cash, sponsors of the second stage.

Yolanda González stated at the event that, “Viana opens the doors of her city to welcome a stage finish of Itzulia 2022, thus participating in this great festival of sport, cycling and that brings with it such positive and necessary values in these times like the spirit of improvement, sacrifice, teamwork, effort.”

“It’s great to be back in Viana. 2010 saw a very tight finish between the leaders of the international peloton, with the great Alejandro Valverde taking the win. Although this year the finish line is not in the same place as 12 years ago, it is sure to be electric”, stated Julián Eraso, president of OCETA.

Víctor Arribas, Financial Director of Bodegas Ondarre, added “the fact that the Itzulia is visiting Viana is an honour and a great joy for Bodegas Ondarre, we can enjoy a great end of the stage and see the beautiful landscapes and vineyards of Viana in all their glory”.

“Itzulia is close, familiar and fits perfectly with our values. In addition, this type of sports competition encourages teamwork, effort, competitiveness and self-improvement.
From Family Cash S.L, we would like to thank OCETA for the trust placed in them for the opportunity to be part of the sponsorship”, comments the manager of Family Cash, Carles Canet.
